Hey church family! I’m thrilled to share with you that construction and renovation is fully underway here at 901 Acklen Avenue. In the existing sanctuary behind me, the work has begun and outdoors, surface, and grading work is just now starting.

You know, one of the questions I get most often is, “When will all this work be done? When are we going to have the grand opening?”

I really wish it were sooner rather than later, but I want to under-promise and over-deliver. It’s probably going to take about 12 months from today to finish all this work. But you know that old cliche: anything worth doing right takes time.

That reminds me of our Pursue campaign, the initiative that is funding this type of kingdom work. It is a commitment long-term to the city of Nashville and to reach Middle Tennessee with the gospel. I want to thank those of you who have partnered with us in giving to Pursue. Did you know that there have been so many individuals and families who have made their first-ever gift to Brentwood Baptist Church through the Pursue campaign?

Hey listen, just in the last few months in 2023 here at our church, we’ve baptized nearly as many people as we did all of last year. We’ve had nearly 80 people begin the membership process at Avenue South, and 50 of them have joined the church in the last six months. We’ve had 50 people go on the mission field. Your giving is a part of that.

We don’t build buildings for the sake of space; we build them to reach people with the gospel. Thank you for your generosity and thank you for being a part of what God’s doing at our church.
