The Whole Family, The Whole Bible, The Whole Year
A year ago, Jonathan and Lacey felt led to visit Brentwood Baptist, where they attended a service that introduced them to a church-wide plan to read through the entire Bible in 2024. Jay’s invitation caught their attention, and they felt inspired to join in.
“We were both really excited when we heard about the Bible reading plan,” Jonathan said. For them, this journey not only strengthened their personal faith but also helped them build relationships centered on scripture.
Lacey found the structure provided by Brentwood Baptist particularly helpful. “Having a daily plan for what to read and do made it easier,” she shared. This structure allowed them to deepen their walk with the Lord and incorporate daily Bible reading into their family’s routine.
Their commitment to this practice bore fruit one night during their family reading time, when their daughter Scarlett expressed a desire to be baptized. “We prayed together, talked about it, and sat in her bedroom, where she asked Jesus into her heart,” Lacey recounted.
“As parents, this is the most significant milestone your child can reach,” Jonathan shared.
