Instead of finishing the year on a strong note, many of us often slide into the Christmas season fatigued and overwhelmed. We are battered, bruised or simply disillusioned at how things have unfolded. The incarnation of Christ assures us that Jesus knows what it’s like to be human, and he knows what it’s like to face challenges and obstacles. However, since he has gained victory over the trials and struggles of life, he is able to give us the grace and confidence to recover and respond to life’s experiences. It’s in Christ that we find the help we need, at just the moment we need it.
