Our Purpose
The Bible tells us that the local church is the organization God has created to accomplish His purpose in the world.
Because our work is so important, it is crucial that we do things with excellence. The way we operate should be biblical, ethical, and transparent. Our congregation has the opportunity to identify people who have both the character and competence to help lead our church as we seek to continue being effective in the ministries God has called us to. Please consider nominating someone to one of the teams listed below.
Trustees
Church Trustees make decisions for our church along with providing oversight to the staff and operations. It’s their job to keep us all moving toward God’s purposes by providing discernment and being your voice during the process.
Staff Resource Team (SRT)
The SRT oversee the human resources functions of the church. They recruit for all ministerial positions, and they develop and recommend the personnel budget.
Finance Ministry Team (FMT)
The FMT oversee all things financial. They develop the church budget, monitor receipts and expenditures, and manage the church’s debt (as applicable). Overall, this team is charged with keeping Brentwood Baptist financially sound and healthy.
