After years of faithful ministry, Pastor Rick Elsey is stepping into a well-deserved season of rest and reflection. As our church family celebrates his retirement, we look back with deep gratitude for the countless ways he has led, served, and loved us so well.
Those who know Rick know that his ministry has never been about the spotlight—it’s always been about Jesus. As one member shared, “You can tell when Rick preaches that he knows the Word—and that he knows Jesus.” His teaching has always been rooted in Scripture, delivered with humility, and marked by a deep desire for others to grow in their walk with Christ.
Rick’s legacy extends far beyond the pulpit. He’s been a pastor who truly walks with people—a steady presence in both seasons of celebration and times of sorrow. Friends describe him as compassionate, self-sacrificing, and always willing to serve others. Another shared, “He was a friend—always a friend.”
Those who served alongside him have seen his perseverance and enduring faith firsthand. Rick has faithfully followed God’s call through every challenge, leading with quiet strength and a deep trust in the Lord’s will.
As we celebrate this milestone, we do so with grateful hearts:
“Thank you for being a servant, and thank you for being a friend. We love you and wish you all the best in your retirement.”
Pastor Rick, your life and ministry have left an indelible mark on this church and on every life you’ve touched. Thank you for showing us what it looks like to love Jesus deeply, serve faithfully, and live with enduring joy.
May this next season be filled with rest, renewal, and the same grace you’ve so freely shared with others.
We love you, Pastor Rick. God bless you in your retirement!
