Welcome to the Worship & Arts Academy!

Thank you for trusting us with your student’s musical journey!
Below are some reminders and information about the upcoming semester that will help you.

DOOR B is our Main Entrance for Lessons
Please use Entrance B as your primary entrance & exit.
(It is located next to the chapel on the North side of the building.)

PAYMENTS

Payments may be made online or by dropping a check in the DROP BOX next to the Music Office Door. Payments are due at the first lesson, then on the first of each following month.

INSTRUCTOR'S CELL PHONE NUMBER

Please call the INSTRUCTOR’S CELL PHONE if you are running late, canceling, or have questions about your lessons. (The church receptionist and Worship & Arts Coordinator cannot leave their desks to locate teachers in the building.)

PARENT/STUDENT/INSTRUCTOR AGREEMENT

This is an agreement/list of expectations of the student, the parent, and the teacher. The instructor will go over it at the first lesson.

ONE TEACHER POLICY

Students may not take lessons from another teacher (on the same instrument & music) due to conflicting opinions and techniques that may arise. Having 2 instructors does not help a student develop skills faster. Individual practice is the key!

MAKE-UP (RE-SCHEDULED) LESSON POLICY

ONLY ONE RE-SCHEDULED LESSON IS ALLOWED PER STUDENT PER SEMESTER – regardless of the reason.
PLEASE NOTE – The Instructor is NOT required to make up (or re-schedule) more than ONE lesson missed by the student. (Any lesson missed by the instructor will be made up, unless you decline.)

MULTIPLE INSTRUCTOR POLICY

We have recently seen families try to support students’ development by enrolling them in lessons with multiple teachers. We have a strict policy that prohibits a student from taking lessons from multiple teachers on the same instrument and the same music. Having more instructors will not help the student develop faster and will lead to differences of opinion on music, technique, etc. (Note: A musician studying classical music with one teacher and pop music with another is acceptable.)

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

We will only cancel lessons if the church buildings close. If the weather is a concern or the roads are unsafe in your area, parents and students should use their best judgment and contact the Instructor directly.

RECITALS

At the end of our Spring and Fall Semesters, we celebrate our students’ accomplishments by hosting a recital for family and friends. Your instructor will let you know the date and time of your recital.

INVITE YOUR FRIENDS!

Encourage your friends and family to take lessons too! We are always looking for more students to grow new generations of musicians and artists!
