The Trustees of Brentwood Baptist Church are elected by the members to pray for and work with the Senior Pastor and staff. They confirm the leading of the Holy Spirit for our church, overseeing the ministries and programs to ensure our strategies align with God’s vision for our congregation. Needless to say, this is an important ministry, and that’s why we are so deliberate in our selection process.

On Sunday, November 2 and Sunday, November 9, Members will have the opportunity to vote on at least 2, no more than 3 nominees.

Voting will take place online this year and will open on November 2.

Statement of Faith:
I was blessed to be raised in a Christian home where I was taught about Jesus from my earliest memories. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior around the age of 13, after hearing a sermon about God’s desire for us to be bold in our faith and respond to His call with obedience. I believe that Jesus Christ is the only source of Salvation (John 14:6); all people have sinned which separates us from God (Romans 3:23); but if we turn away from our sinful self and call upon Jesus as Lord and Savior, He is faithful to save us, reconciling us to God (Romans 10:9). As a Christian, I seek continued growth in my relationship with Jesus through worship, prayer and reading scripture so that I may be transformed daily to be more like Christ and equipped for discipleship.

Statement of Faith: I surrendered to Christ and his will for my life when I was 13 years old. That journey has been more than I could have ever imagined it to be as I served him in churches and at LifeWay. Along the way there have been books, songs, colleges, seminaries, places around the world, and places of ministry right where I’ve lived. I Timothy 1:12 is a verse of testimony for me: “I give thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful, appointing me to the ministry.” Paul would go in that chapter on to say that God had done all of it despite the failures and rebellion in Paul’s own life. I feel the very same way. God deserves all the glory for everything he has done and is doing in my life. Every day is another new day of discovery of how he wants me to serve him.

Current Service: Newlywed Small Group Leader and Deacon
Previous Service: Deacon – Lockeland Springs (2022-2024)
Statement of Faith:
I was raised in North Alabama by two wonderful, Godly parents who taught me from an early age the importance of having a personal relationship with Christ. I still remember the day I talked with my dad in his bedroom about my desire to accept Jesus as my Savior. We knelt beside his bed, and there I gave my life to Christ. Since that moment, I have been baptized and have been blessed to have other Godly men invest in my life. They have helped me grasp the significance of the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:19–20 and the call to pour into others as taught in 2 Timothy 2:2.

Previous Service: Student Ministry LIFE Group Leader (since 1994); Finance Ministry Team (2003 – 2005); Missions Disaster Response Team
Statement of Faith:
As a child, I attended church sporadically, heard the Bible stories and was even baptized. My saving encounter with Christ, however, came as a somewhat rebellious 16-year-old. I was invited to a youth drama being presented by a church in my home town in Alabama. I heard the gospel in a way that made clear the grace of God and the gift of salvation of Ephesians 2:8-9. I discovered that God loved me in spite of all my failures (Romans 5:8) As a believer I am still amazed at the grace and love that Christ has for me and you.
