The Preschool Ministry at Brentwood Baptist believes parents are the primary disciplers of their children—and we are your partners in that process. That’s why, each week, we create a safe, fun, and creative environment for your preschoolers to learn about God.
Sundays
We want children to value coming to church. Each week, your children will gather in either worship or groups. Learn more about what to expect on a Sunday morning below.
Preschool LIFE Groups
Sunday | 7:45, 9:00, & 10:30 AM
Preschoolers (Babies – Kindergartners) attend classes while their parents are in LIFE Groups or worship. Teachers prepare for the sessions using a curriculum called Bible Studies for Life Kids from LifeWay Christian Resources.
Each age group participates in planned learning activities based on a central Bible teaching truth/verse and a Bible story. They also hear the biblical message on their level of understanding. We want children to value coming to church. Parents will receive a take-home page designed to help them reinforce the biblical message throughout the week.
K Trail (Kindergartners)
Sunday | 9:00, & 10:30 AM
K Trail is a large-group experience for kindergartners on Sunday mornings and is designed to broaden their experiential learning during this transitional year. A K trail session is divided into three segments—Porch, Picnic, and Play—which include music, Bible stories, movement, games, crafts, mission activities, and recreation. Activities are different each Sunday and will be related to a trail theme as well as the Bible story.
K Trail is designed for kindergartners to attend before or after their LIFE group hour.
Wednesdays
Wednesday night activities are designed to equip children and parents to grow closer to Jesus. Learn more about what to expect on a Wednesday night below.
Childcare (Birth — Age 2)
Wednesday | 6:00 PM—7:45 PM
Childcare is provided to support Bible studies, training, and ministry-related meetings. If your child is placed in childcare, we ask that you be on campus and involved in ministry.
KIDLIFE (3 YEARS — KINDERGARTEN)
Wednesday | 6:00 PM—7:30 PM
KidLife Music begins at 6:00 p.m. Preschoolers are transitioned to KidLife at 6:45 where they will enjoy Bible learning with a mission’s emphasis (Bible story activities, recreation).
Check-In/Pick-Up
If you’re a returning guest, you may check-in your child at one of the computer check-in stations. Follow the directions on the screen. The computer will print two name tags for your child. Place one on your child and keep the other to present when picking up your child. If you need assistance with this process, someone at one of the Preschool Welcome Desks will be happy to help you.
This room is provided so mothers can have privacy while feeding their children. It’s equipped with a changing table, diaper-changing supplies, and an adult restroom.
When your child is on the campus of our church, his or her safety is our top priority. That’s why we work very hard to have plans in place in the event of an emergency, like a fire or tornado.
