Olivia is part of an effort to plant churches among the Deaf in Southeast Asia. With a background in photography and storytelling, she also documents and supports this movement visually—helping others see and celebrate the gospel at work. One of the most exciting aspects of her current ministry is the first-of-its-kind theological training program for Deaf nationals, designed to equip believers for leadership and disciple-making within their own communities.
Deaf communities are often overlooked in global missions, yet they remain among the least reached. Olivia’s work empowers Deaf believers to become disciple-makers, pastors, and missionaries themselves—taking the gospel into places only they can go with cultural and linguistic fluency.
Sign languages are different for every language, but intrinsically (and miraculously!) share many sign roots in common. Deaf people using different sign languages can begin to communicate very quickly. Imagine what this can mean for the spread of the gospel among the Deaf!
