Nurture Team - Brentwood Baptist

The Nurture Team ministers to people in times of illness, crisis and death in the family in many different ways. You can be involved by attending meetings on Mondays or Tuesdays, or by assisting any of these ministries in various ways on your own time, from your own home.

BLOOMING BLESSINGS

Meets every Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Usher Room. Prepares and delivers fresh flower arrangements.

BLESSING BASKETS

Meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor. Prepares and delivers baskets six-weeks after the death of a loved one reminding them of our prayers.

CARD TEAM

Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor. Writes and delivers cards of encouragement to those needing care and support.

FOOD TEAM

Prepares and delivers meals. Consists of five food teams each led by a food team coordinator.

FREEZER MINISTRY

Prepares and maintains pre-packaged and previously prepared meal items.

SMILE AIDS

Meets on the 2nd Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor. Prepare gift bags for children as they wait to receive medical and dental treatments from the Medical Dental Unit.

PRAYER COVER

Meets Tuesdays at 9:00 a.m. in Baskin Chapel. These members of the Nurture Team regularly pray and intercede for the weekly roster of prayer requests. The group then follows up, as led by the Holy Spirit, with personal hand-written prayer cards to those on the list.

PRAYER SHAWLS

Meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor. Knits and crochets prayer shawls for families in need of comfort as well as during happy occasions.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

Coordinates activities with area hospitals, support groups, and miscellaneous projects.

HOSPITAL BASKETS

Meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 9:00 a.m. in the Parlor. Prepares and delivers baskets to those with a hospital stay exceeding three days with snacks and other necessary items.
