The Nurture Team ministers to people in times of illness, crisis and death in the family in many different ways. You can be involved by attending meetings on Mondays or Tuesdays, or by assisting any of these ministries in various ways on your own time, from your own home.
Meets every Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Usher Room. Prepares and delivers fresh flower arrangements.
Meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Hospitality Suite. Prepares and delivers baskets six weeks after the death of a loved one, reminding them of our prayers.
Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Hospitality Suite. Writes and delivers cards of encouragement to those needing care and support.
Prepares and delivers meals. Consists of five food teams each led by a food team coordinator.
Prepares and maintains pre-packaged and previously prepared meal items.
Meets Tuesdays at 9:30 a.m. in Baskin Chapel. These members of the Nurture Team regularly pray and intercede for the weekly roster of prayer requests. The group then follows up, as led by the Holy Spirit, with personal hand-written prayer cards to those on the list.
Meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Hospitality Suite. Knits and crochets prayer shawls for families in need of comfort, as well as during happy occasions.
Coordinates activities with support groups and miscellaneous projects.
Meets on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Hospitality Suite. Prepares and delivers baskets to patients with a hospital stay exceeding three days, including snacks and other necessary items.
