GOSPEL CONVERSATION OPPORTUNITY
Read Romans 5:8.
But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
This week we read a lot about kings who made the wrong choices! We also read about a prophet of God who made a wrong choice. Sin separates everyone from God- whether they are a king or a prophet. But, because of God’s great love for us, He made a way for forgiveness of sins when he sent Jesus to die on the cross for us.
Today’s verse reminds us that WHILE we were sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus took the penalty of our sin, even though we didn’t deserve it. We couldn’t do anything to earn it! Thank God for what He provided when He sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins.
