GOSPEL CONVERSATION OPPORTUNITY
The Gift of the Bible!
We have read through the entire Bible! Congratulations!
I hope you have seen that the Bible is not just an ordinary book that reads like a fiction novel or a story book. The Bible is God’s Word for God’s People! It is TRUE! Everything in the Bible is true and we can count on that!
I Timothy 3:16-17 tells us that all scripture is breathed out by God. The divinely inspired words of God are what fill the pages of the Bible.
Hebrews 4:12 tells us that the word of God is living and active and sharper than a two-edged sword! What a weapon we have to fight the enemy with.
Matthew 4:4 reminds us that the word of God comes from the mouth of God.
Psalm 119:105 tells us that God’s word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. It helps us know where to go! We can trust God’s word! (Proverbs 3:5-6)
And Isaiah 40:8 reminds us that the Word of the Lord remains FOREVER!
Thank God for the gift of God’s word!

December Memory Verse:
I have treasured your word in my heart so that I may not sin against you.
- Bring your Bible! Your kids need to see that everything you are reading to them or learning about comes from an actual Bible!
- Each day starts with a reading prompt. Read the selection as a family. If your kids are readers, encourage them to read along with you.
- After you’ve read the passage, read the short devotional thought that goes along with each passage.
- Prayer and application are important any time we read God’s word! After each devotional, there is a challenge to help apply what your family has read that day.
- There is a reading for six days of the week. The last reading of the week is a Gospel Conversation Prompt to help you connect the reading from the week with God’s plan for salvation.
