Scripture: Revelation 7:9–10

Devotion

It’s easy to limit our view of faith and church to what’s familiar and right in front of us. Thankfully, Scripture gives us a higher and wider view of the church, one that extends far beyond our congregation or nation. In Matthew 28, Jesus sends His disciples into all the world to make disciples, commissioning them to build a global church.

We can hardly imagine a scene as multi-cultural as the vision of the throne room in Revelation 7. Most of us will experience only a handful of nations in our lifetime, yet this passage shows that we will spend eternity with all of them! That means that most of heaven may not look like you, speak like you, or even think like you, and yet all peoples, nations, and tribes will be redeemed and united by the blood of Christ, worshiping together for all time.

We can dream of and prepare for that day, but we’re also called to work toward that future. Jesus sent us to our neighbors and to the nations. Just as He brought His gospel to us through faithful messengers, He is calling us to carry that same message to the ends of the earth. One day, all nations will worship before the same throne, and we are invited to be part of that mission. Maybe you are called to go. Pray about that! Maybe you are called to give, to send, or to pray faithfully for those who go. One thing is true for all of us: we are each called to join the Holy Spirit as He builds His global church, until the mission is complete and replaced with eternal worship.

A Personal Prayer

Pray for the nations, that the gospel would spread and the church would multiply exponentially. Pray for the global church, that God would protect, guide, and grow His disciples in every nation. Lift up our church’s global workers and all who will take part in international missions this year. Ask the Spirit to reveal how He is calling you to engage in His global mission to make disciples.

Pray for Our Neighbors: The Well Outreach

The Well Outreach in Spring Hill, Tennessee, provides food assistance and holistic care to families in Williamson and Maury Counties. Through its weekly food pantry, mobile distributions, and student Jetpack Program, The Well shares the hope of Jesus while meeting practical needs with compassion.

• Pray for families served by The Well to feel loved and find lasting hope as they receive care and support.
• Ask God to provide the resources and volunteers needed to sustain and grow The Well’s programs.
• Pray for the Jetpack Program for students experiencing food insecurity to find nourishment, encouragement, and stability through this ministry.

Pray for the Nations: Global Workers | Daniel & Sandra

Daniel and Sandra serve in Central Mexico, training and equipping local believers for discipleship and gospel storytelling among unreached and marginalized communities. Their ministry focuses on mentoring leaders, forming Bible study groups, and mobilizing churches to send missionaries abroad.

• Pray for Daniel and Sandra’s ministry with Teen Missions Boot Camp, for participants to develop a lifelong passion for serving the Lord.
• Ask God to bless and grow their three Timothy Initiative Bible study groups.
• Pray for their family to remain steadfast in faith, protected by the Lord, and joyful in service.
