Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, CSB
Devotion
Paul emphasizes what is most important: the gospel of Jesus Christ. This gospel, rooted in Scripture, is central to God’s redemptive plan for His people.
The gospel calls us to follow Jesus through His death, burial, and resurrection, leading us from death to life as a new creation. Formed by God and transformed by Christ’s saving work, we are given new life and hope. In 1 Corinthians, Paul addresses many aspects of the Christian life, but he underscores that nothing is more vital than the good news of Christ’s atonement for our sins and the victory His resurrection gives us over sin and death.
This is why the first key value of our church is “Gospel First and Always.” The most important thing about us, and the most important thing we will ever share is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
A Personal Prayer
- Have you confessed with your mouth and believed in your heart that Jesus is Lord? If not, pray to receive the gospel of Jesus Christ. If so, pray God will reveal His gospel to you in the light of your new life as a new creation.
