Celebrating 40 Days of Prayer for Our Global Workers

“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb…” — Revelation 7:9a (ESV)

Forty days ago, we began this journey with open hands and hearts—asking the Lord to deepen our love for the nations and to teach us how to pray more faithfully for His global mission.

Today, we end this prayer journey with gratitude and renewed perspective.

Praise God for the global workers who are already faithfully living and laboring among the nations. Praise Him for the gospel that is going out—in coffee shops and classrooms, refugee centers and remote villages, through whispered conversations and loud public declarations. He is drawing people to Himself even now.

We’ve spent the last 40 days lifting up names, faces, and places we may never visit. And yet we know that our prayers have not been wasted. We’ve stood in the gap on behalf of those who go, and we’ve asked the Lord of the harvest to raise up even more.

So today, we pray with urgency and hope:

That God would continue to stir up new believers and faithful followers of Christ in every corner of the world. That the seeds sown would take deep root. That more unreached people would come to know the name of Jesus. And that our church would remain faithful—as a praying, sending, going, and welcoming church—until the day He returns.

Ways to Pray:

  • Praise God for the faithfulness of global workers and the fruit of their ministry.
  • Pray for endurance, protection, and spiritual vitality for every global worker.
  • Ask God to stir up more hearts to say yes—to go, to give, to pray, to send.
  • Intercede for unreached peoples to hear and believe the good news of Jesus.
  • Pray that our church would remain steadfast in the work of missions
