Melissa Hayes

Melissa was born and raised in the Austin area. She left Texas to attend Pensacola Christian College, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Communications – Commercial Art. She married her college sweetheart, David, in 1996. During her senior year in college, Melissa dedicated her life to Christian service. This led her and her husband into the Christian music industry. She opened a graphic design business in 2000, serving ministries in Kansas, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas. She and David moved to Tennessee in 2006 to care for family. Wishing to stay in Christian service, she retired her graphic design business to join Brentwood Baptist as an administrative assistant in Communications. She now assists Adult Leadership, where she oversees the development of new discipleship leaders, organizes the online Daily Devotionals, supports the development new mentors. She holds a certification in Christian Leadership Coaching with the International Coaching Federation. 

Melissa calls Franklin home with her husband, David and their fur-kid, Sitka. She enjoys photography, painting, participating in Fraternal Order of Police events and investing in others through Christian life coaching.
