Frequently Asked Questions

  • What happens each day?

ELEMENTARY: Kindergarten-Grade 5 children begin each morning in the Worship Center with the Opening Worship Rally (use Entrance A). After morning worship, children will attend different rotations with classmates their own age including Music, Missions, Recreation, Snacks, and Bible Study. The day ends with a Closing Worship Rally, and then children are dismissed at 12:15 p.m.

PRESCHOOL: Preschool children begin in their small group Bible Study rooms (use Entrance H). Preschoolers (ages 3-5/PreK) have their own fun rotations with classmates their own age including Music, Missions, Recreation, Snacks, and Bible Study. After they have completed all of the rotations, they return to their small group Bible Study rooms.

  • Late Drop-off or Early Pick-up?

ELEMENTARY: For safety and security reasons, we ask that you check in at the Atrium Welcome Center with children (Kindergarten-Grade 5) who arrive after 9:15 a.m. or if you need to pick up a child before 12:15 p.m.

PRESCHOOL: For safety and security reasons, we ask that you check in at the Preschool Registration table with children who arrive after 9:15 a.m. or if you need to pick up a child before 12:15 p.m.

  • My child isn’t old enough to attend. Do you have any options for younger children?

Children must turn 5 before VBS begins in order to attend. However, we do open up the back of the Worship Center for parents and siblings to watch the Closing Worship Rally beginning at 12:00 p.m. Children in Kindergarten-Grade 5 will be dismissed after worship ends at 12:15 p.m.

Children of volunteers from birth-4 years old are also eligible to attend. All volunteers must be Brentwood Baptist church members or regular attendees and must complete the Volunteer Registration Form.

  • Is it important that I preregister?

Registration will be open from March 5-June 7, 2017. However, when we reach capacity for a particular age, we will close registration for that age group. Preregistration guarantees you a spot and will make the first day of VBS easier for your family. All children will receive their preassigned classroom information on Friday, June 9. Onsite registration will be available each day for Kindergarten-Grade 5.
