Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6
My daughter and I have these tee shirts that say, “Always take the scenic route.” It’s an inside joke for family trips, where taking the wrong road often leads to the wrong destination. Have you ever done this?
He is The Way
Our world tells us there are many roads which lead to heaven and many ways to God. But during an intimate meal with His disciples, Jesus makes it abundantly clear that He is the way to heaven. Only He forgives our sins, gives salvation, and provides the certain hope of a relationship with God.
He Is The Truth
Jesus stepped out of eternity and was incarnated into human form. He lived a spotless life, suffered a cruel death on a cross to pay for your sin and mine. Then, He was resurrected from the grave on the third day, conquering death and the power of sin. If we repent and turn to Jesus, we will we receive forgiveness and salvation.
He Is The Life
This “I Am” statement lines up with the reality of who Jesus is. He is the way, the truth, and the life. Jesus is love. He is the destination. Believe, put your weight down, follow His teachings, find your purpose and meaning in life, be eternally secure, and have direct access to Jesus now.
Now What?
Do you know someone who has little or no faith? Is unchurched? With Easter at hand, your opportunity to extend an invitation to a service, a special meal, or an egg hunt is yours to be given.
This is a great season for events. Be self-aware and look for ones that share the gospel to help the people you know.
