My bones were not hidden from you when I was made in secret.

Psalm 139:15a

A Knowing Creator

Not only does God love us, He knew us before He formed us in the secret shadows of our mother’s womb. He knew every bone as it was being developed, and He knew exactly how each stage of our lives would go—even before we were born into the world. God knew all of the approximately 270 bones He was creating to form you in your secret place (your mother’s womb), and He knew as you grew and developed that those bones would fuse and become 206 adult bones. Out of the shadows and into His light, we are His marvelous creations.

We are His masterpiece, and He knew exactly what He was doing when He created us. We are made in the image of God, uniquely designed with different physical attributes and given different gifts and talents. God is able to individually design thousands of babies; in fact, approximately 10,000 babies are born in the United States every day.

The Call into Relationship

And even with all of the things God is busy doing, He has the desire to know each of us and to have an intimate relationship with all of His children. What a great reminder that the God whom we have the opportunity to serve and worship knew us this intimately before our parents even knew what we would look like.

God calls us to seek first His kingdom, and He will direct our path. God has a plan for your life that He set into motion when He uniquely made you. Therefore we need to make sure we are seeking God in all aspects of our life.

What Now?

Remind yourself that you are uniquely made in God’s image. Encourage yourself that God did not make a mistake with you. Remember that God made the other people in your life uniquely as well and also in His image. Consider who might the Spirit may be leading you to share this truth with today.
