It can sometimes be difficult in today's world to communicate the truths of the Gospel. So often in the media competing points of view are represented in ways that make following Christ seem out of place or undesirable. It is up to us as believing Christians to communicate clearly the freedom and abundant life that is found in Christ in ways that represent the truth of the Gospel. In doing this, we have to be careful not to water down that life-changing message in order to be more acceptable to the world at large. Tertullian battled this apparent tendency in the second century as some Christians were using popular philosophy to interpret Jesus and His message instead of letting it speak for itself.
