“God is our refuge and strength, a helper who is always found in times of trouble.” —Psalm 46:1
This week your baby is developing their muscles. Muscles are associated with the word strength. People work on them and build them so they will make them strong and be able to take on tasks physically. While praying for your baby’s physical strength, also think about their spiritual strength and the ultimate source of that strength—God Himself.
Just as your child’s muscles will help them when they are trying to lift heavy things, God is our strength heavy times. He is our help in the times when we are lifting emotional and spiritual burdens. As you pray this week for your child’s strength, also pray for them to look to God for strength in the hard times they will face in their lives. We all have troubles we face at different times in our lives, and God is the only One who can provide us with the strength to get through them.
Psalm 121:1-2 says, “I lift my eyes unto the hills. Where will my help come from? My help comes from the Lord the maker of Heaven and Earth.”
Pray for the future strength of your child. Pray that your little one will turn to God during times of trouble and find super strength. He will make your baby stronger than anyone could ever imagine.
