“It is written: ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'” —Romans 14:11
The knee is one of the largest and most complex joints in the body. The knee joins the thigh bone (femur) to the shin bone (tibia). The smaller bone that runs alongside the tibia (fibula) and the kneecap (patella) are the other bones that make the knee joint. God made the knee strong and flexible.
As your baby grows, pray about the development of the knee. Pray about all the ways your baby will use his or her body to move, crawl, walk, run, jump, climb, swing, swim, kick, dance, ride a bicycle, and the list goes on and on.
Also, pray for that your baby will one day bow down and surrender to the Lord. Pray that your precious child will recognize that God is sovereignly Lord and that he or she will be fully committed to Christ. Pray that your little one will share the story of the Gospel of Jesus and will be a witness to the nations—declaring the Father’s eternal love.
And Momma, pray for your own knees. You will need to continuously be on them as you faithfully pray for your little one and you will need the strength to carry on.
“Therefore strengthen your limp hands and weak knees. Make straight paths for your feet, so that the lame may not be debilitated, but rather healed.”
God, you are the Master Designer, I pray for strong knees.
