In August, Trustee nominations from all campuses were received and in November all campuses voted to elect three out of the ten nominees.
Congratulations to Andy Dodson, Craig Reed, and Dennis Moses. These men will serve for the next four years, replacing the Trustees whose terms will end at the end of the year.

Statement of Faith: Because Jesus Christ bled and died on the cross as a payment for my life, I know that my life has value and significance. My home, my family, my children, my work, and the places I go and the people I meet there are the mission field God has given me. I believe the ultimate purpose I have in my time here on earth is to glorify God and praise Him for what He has done. I will do that by acknowledging my need and acceptance of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, by living a life as Christ-like as I possibly can, by seeking a fellowship with Jesus Christ through prayer, and by demonstrating love to those I meet along my journey.

Statement of Faith: I accepted Christ as my personal Savior when I was in the fourth grade on a Sunday morning at the Oak Avenue Baptist Church in Ada, Oklahoma. I was baptized a few days later. I was active in church throughout my primary and secondary school years. My membership was at the First Baptist Church in Norman, OK, through my college years. It was at FBC in Norman where I learned to live by biblical promises. My commitment to the Lord is centered on missions. It began in the summer of 1961 when Norma and I, as newlyweds, went to Chicago to serve as summer missionaries. This focus has continued until the present time with mission journeys to Russia, Romania, Hungary, and Moldova.

Past Service: Deacon at Brentwood Baptist (2009-2014), Young Married LIFE Group Leader (2010-2012)
Statement of Faith: At 10-years-old, I recognized my need for Christ as my Lord and Savior. I understood that Christ was the only way to salvation and that nothing that I could do would ever earn my salvation. I confessed myself as a sinner, asked forgiveness for my sins, repented, and asked the Lord to come into my life. I was baptized as part of my public profession of faith. God led my family and I to Brentwood Baptist in 2005, where I began the most significant spiritual growth of my life. I believe that I am made in the image of God and that my ultimate fulfillment comes through the transformation into Christ-likeness by giving my life over to the lordship of Christ. Psalm 18:2-3.

Past Service: Amazon Medical Mission Journey, 1st and 2nd grade Sunday School Teacher, VBS Teacher; LIFE Group and Prayer Group Member, Nashville Campus Launch Team Member
Statement of Faith: I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. My joy in life is Romans 8:35-39. No one can separate me from Christ’s love! I believe in the Great Commission and in the obligationof the local church to minister to each other and to the world. I began attending Brentwood Baptist because I believed it to be a great teaching congregation and I wanted to learn. What I didn’t anticipate was that the love and prayers of Brentwood Baptist members would support me through multiple losses and bring a breakthrough in a 13-year-old unsolved murder of a family member. My testimony is that Brentwood Baptist is a “sent” congregation under Romans 10:15.

Statement of Faith: Growing up in a Christian family that worshiped together, I accepted Jesus at age 12. I was fortunate to attend Union University, which provided a stronger foundation. Even though I thought I knew all the right answers as a young man, I desired a more intimate relationship with Him. Since Jesus keeps pursuing me and through the circumstances of life, which prove me powerless, He is able to supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Today, my personal relationship with Jesus allows me to live in the joy of my salvation as I desire to be conformed to His image each day.

Past Service: Played trumpet in Orchestra (2004-2005)
Statement of Faith: I accepted Jesus as my Savior when I was a young boy around the age of 7. I knew that I was a sinner and needed to be saved, but didn’t totally understand everything about following Christ. I still don’t. I do know that it is a life-long process of learning to deny myself and follow Him. Jesus is my Savior and my Lord. I try to live each day in a way that brings honor to His name by showing others the love and grace He has so freely given me. Some days I do better than others. Thankfully His grace covers them all. Serving Him is the only thing I do that has eternal significance.
