The Trustees of Brentwood Baptist Church are elected by the congregation to pray for and work with the Pastor. They confirm the leading of the Holy Spirit for our church, overseeing the ministries and programs to ensure our strategies align with God’s vision for our congregation. Needless to say, this is an important ministry, and that’s why we are so deliberate in our selection process.
Ballots will be available for voting on Sunday, November 4 and Sunday, November 11. Church bylaws do not allow for absentee voting.

Statement of Faith: James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.” As someone who professes Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I’m also someone who confesses my daily and constant need for wisdom from my Creator to help me in learning how to be a better husband, father, and friend. I pray that as in Ephesians 3:16, “He would grant…according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit.”

Statement of Faith: At the age of 14, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. The witness of classmates, who attended Brentwood Baptist, ignited my curiosity to read the Scriptures and opened my eyes to my need for a Savior. I believe the Bible is the divinely inspired and inerrant Word of God. Salvation is offered freely to all mankind. It was purchased by the blood of Christ and is available to all who accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. There is only one way to God, in accordance with John 14:6, and that is through faith in Jesus Christ. I desire to follow God’s commands in 2 Timothy 2:2 and 2:15, and thus to encourage others to be not only disciples of Christ, but also to be disciple-makers.

Statement of Faith: Jesus has made Himself known to me through His Word and Spirit, and by godly parents, family members, inspired pastors, teachers, and cherished friends. I gave my life to Him at age 8 and rededicated myself to Him when I was a young mom at 22. At age 34, I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and that dramatically changed my perspective on life. I learned who and what was truly most important. Jesus is my all in all. Many years later, I cling to Ephesians 3:16-17a, “I pray that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man through His Spirit, and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith.” My desire is to have my faith increase all the more and to give Him glory and honor in my personal and professional life.
