Pre-Requisite: Completion of Sign Language (ASL) Workshop or a basic working knowledge of ASL.
This Focus Study is a workshop-based course. Introducing the basics of American Sign Language (ASL), participants should have already completed the first sign class or have a basic knowledge of sign language before attending this class. Teaching approaches will include: visual-gestural communication techniques, visual discrimination, and visual memory exercises. ASL questions, commands, and other simple sentence structures are included to develop rudimentary skills. Participants must be 16 years or older.
