God’s People by Grace

Mike Glenn · Ephesians 2:1-10

Christians are considered children of God because of what Jesus did for sinners. All humans are sinners and are, therefore, spiritually dead. No person, in his or her own power, can become a child of God. No Jew. No Gentile. No male. No female. No church person. No drug addict. No deacon. No pastor. All are dead in sin and spiritually without life. Unless God intervenes and brings life from death, all are hopeless. But God makes the sinner alive. God takes the lifeless soul and makes him or her a child. It is by grace—and grace alone—that anyone can be considered “right” with God.
