Be Present with God in Silence

Mike Glenn · Psalm 46:10

Our culture is constantly filling our minds with noise—some good, some bad, and some in between. There are messages coming at us from the moment our alarm goes off in the morning until we turn off our mobile device at night. What ultimately matters is what God says. Pausing to be still and silent before the Lord with no other noise but His voice through His Word and Spirit are critical for growth and intimacy. Choosing daily to be still to hear from the Lord alone is a discipline that must be cultivated in the believer. Advice abounds on the best method to use. What is necessary, however, is allowing the real God to speak to the real you.
