An Update on The Church at Nolensville

Therefore, pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest. —Matthew 9:38

Through God’s Faithful Provision

In June 2017, our church voted to establish a new regional campus in Nolensville, which will be launching in the first half of 2018. As we have been faithful to follow God’s calling to grow His kingdom throughout Middle Tennessee, He has been faithful to provide in many ways for those working in the community.

The Nolensville Launch Team, comprised of 51 adults and 39 children, is meeting regularly at a local establishment called Nana’s Diner. They are developing disciple-making skills and establishing and deepening relationships with their neighbors where they live, work, and play.

Connections Being Made

A previous relationship existed with the owners of Nana’s Diner since an established Brentwood Baptist off-campus LIFE Group met there. However, recently our launch team received the word that the restaurant was sold to a new owner.

As the team prepared to turn in the key to the diner and look for a new meeting place, the new owners called and said that they are believers, they are excited that the launch team is meeting there, and nothing will change regarding the use of the space. Nana’s Diner continues to be a blessing.

Community Being Established

LIFE Groups are vital to establishing the foundation for a new congregation. In addition to six existing Nolensville-based LIFE Groups, two new off-campus adult LIFE Groups have been established in the area, and two more will begin in October. God has been faithful to provide leaders for these groups as we have prayed for them to emerge.

The first meeting of a new LIFE Group for middle school students in Nolensville was held on Sunday, September 17, and 11 students attended. We are excited to see what God has in store for this group as it grows.

God has been faithful to provide as the team lays the groundwork for The Church at Nolensville, but there is still a lot to do before the official launch.

Here are a few ways you can be involved:

1. Pray for the Nolensville LIFE Groups. Pray that the groups continue to flourish in the coming days.

2. Pray for the launch team. Pray for opportunities for our launch team to encounter people who will help establish and grow the campus. Pray that the team will have endurance and be replenished so that they can serve from the overflow of their love for Christ.

3. Consider joining the launch team. If you’re interested in being a part of our launch team, contact Steven Wald at [email protected]. If you’d like to learn more about Nolensville LIFE Groups, contact Jay Fennell at [email protected].
