Advancement Sunday: August 6
August 01, 2017
August 6 is Advancement Sunday for preschool, children, students, and special needs. On that day, our next generation ministries will transition into new LIFE Groups that will help them learn and grow in Christlikeness. As the new school year begins soon, we recommit to equipping and encouraging your children to fully become the people that God designed them to be through our preschool, children, and student programs.
Here are a few details you’ll want to know about what Sunday mornings look like for each age group.
LIFE Groups are available for Birth-Kindergartners during all worship services (8:00, 9:30, 11:00, and 11:11 a.m.).
A Preschool LIFE Group is a Sunday morning experience where children are involved in hands-on Bible learning activities appropriate for their age group. During these activities, teachers communicate the biblical message through the Bible story, Bible verse, and song. Each Sunday teachers help preschoolers make life applications and lay spiritual foundations in the children's lives.
K Trail is a large-group experience for kindergartners designed to broaden their experiential learning during this transitional year. A K Trail session is divided into three segments—Porch, Picnic, and Play—which include music, Bible stories, movement, games, crafts, mission activities, and recreation. Activities are different each Sunday and will be related to a trail theme as well as the Bible story. K Trail is offered at the 9:30 and 11:00 hours and is designed for kindergartners to attend after their LIFE Group hour.

LIFE Groups are available for children in grades 1-5 on Sunday mornings during all worship services (8:00, 9:30, 11:00, and 11:11 a.m.).
LIFE Groups are a small group experience where children learn biblical truths through hands-on teaching and activities. Children build relationships with a consistent group of teachers and peers in the classroom where God’s Word is the focus. Through biblical content, children learn how it applies to their lives and how to use the Bible on their own.
Marketplace is made up of two different large group experiences for children that teach biblical truths through interactive learning and worship. All five senses are engaged as children experience Scripture in a themed environment where the Bible story is brought to life in a room designed as a 1st century marketplace. Children in grades 1-3 will begin in Marketplace Worship and then transition to Marketplace. Children in grades 4-5 will begin in Marketplace and then transition to Marketplace Worship. Marketplace complements the LIFE Group experience on Sundays. Children can participate in Marketplace before or after attending their age-graded LIFE Group.
